Once you’ve made the decision to buy a home (yay!) your next step is to get the proper financial documents gathered and get pre-approved for a mortgage. It’s also a good idea at this point to decide where your down payment is going to come from. If you don’t have tens of thousands of dollars in savings, don’t stress, there are plenty of down payment assistance programs available out there!

Once we start the home search there will be a lot of different terms coming your way, some will be familiar and some won’t. My goal is make you as comfortable with the process as possible and answer all of your questions, both big and small. Not sure what a contingency is, I’ve got you. Never heard of earnest money before, not a problem. We’ll get through this together.
